Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Figure It Quick (figureitquick.fyi) handles and how. The short version: the site doesn't ask for your name, email or any account, and the numbers you type into a calculator stay on your device.

What we collect

Nothing directly. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no comment boxes. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write, and we use it only to reply.

The numbers you type

Every calculation runs inside your web browser. Your inputs are not sent to us or stored on our server.

To make results easy to bookmark and share, the calculator copies your inputs into the page address (for example, ?bill=85.40&tip=18). That address stays in your browser unless you share it. Anyone you send the link to will see those numbers. If you'd rather keep them private, copy the result instead of the link.

Your theme choice

If you pick a style or light/dark mode with the Theme button, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the next page looks the same. It stays on your device and is never sent to us. Clearing your browser's site data removes it.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information when your browser requests a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the page requested, in order to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. You can read Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

We don't currently use any analytics or tracking scripts.

Advertising and cookies

Some pages on this site may show ads served by Google AdSense. Here's how that works:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings at adssettings.google.com. You can also opt out of some other vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.

When an ad loads, the ad provider can see the address of the page it appears on. On a calculator page, that address may include the numbers you typed (see above). You can learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles information changes, this page will be updated and the effective date at the top will change.
